Using curriculum based on that used in courses taught in the master’s program in emergency services administration at California State University, Long Beach, and in the emergency management certificate program at Edmonds Community College, Depiction University will take you through the basics of Depiction and into advanced topics.

If you have completed Depiction University, another course in Depiction, or just feel like you're otherwise a Depiction expert, you are invited to take the Certified Depiction User Exam. Successful completion of the exam will result in the official designation of "Certified Depiction User".

APRS Live, built by Smucker Data Solutions, is an add-on for Depiction mapping software that allows APRS packet information received over RF via your radio and TNC to be displayed in Depiction’s mapping and simulation environment. No Internet connection is needed—APRS Live connects to your TNC via your computer's serial port, allowing you to use the power of Depiction to display current APRS position, status, and weather data in real time as your radio receives it.

NOTE: The release version of APRS Live is only compatible with Depiction 1.2. (Version 1.2 is available with purchase of Depiction 1.3). A beta version of APRS compatible with Depiction 1.3 is also available upon purchase of APRS Live.
